Autism Spectrum Disorder

 Autism Spectrum Disorder

The study will look at the effect of a study drug on social behavior and communication in people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The study drug is designed to work by blocking a brain receptor of a hormone (the vasopressin receptor) that is believed to be associated with control of socialization, stress, anxiety, affection, and aggression. The study drug could therefore be a potential treatment for some of the core symptoms associated with autism.
